DaVinci Resolve ude i 12.5.1

Nu gik det ellers lige så godt med DaVinci Resolve.
Så godt at der ikke rigtigt er nogle der klager over det ene eller det andet.
Og så pludselig kommer der en opdatering, der tilbyder en masse nye features, der ser ud til at betyde at faste brugere bliver nødt til at opgradere.
I det mindste på mindre vigtige arbejdsstationer, for at se om der er bugs.
Det er der indimellem, og en død maskine der ikke kan nedgraderes, er og bliver et kedeligt problem.
Tilbage til v12.5.1.
Pludselig er der nu ProRes decoding på Windows, helt uden at der skal monteres en omgang - øhøm - QuickTime 7, først.
Tilbage på hovedplatformen er der kommet en række nye editing features, der inkluderer forskellige former for trimming og multicam trylleri, at det alene er nok til at broadcastere burde overveje at opgradere.
Der er nu også en såkaldt “native 64-bit code” i de .mov filer der bliver skrevet, hvilket burde give fart i efterfølgende åbninger og import/eksport af samme.
ResolveFX kan nu “Generate Color” ganske som en feature der hedder Tilt-shift Blur, burde give muligheden for at lave en slags fake Tilt-shift, der er åh så populært på Instagram.
Der er kommet nye GPU accelerations features og eksisterende ( interne ?) plug-ins skulle være blevet hurtigere.
Endelig er der sket en masse på Ultra HD H.264 området på Windows, ganske som HEVC (H.265) decoding nu også skulle gå som drøm på jeres tyve billige Linux maskiner der alligevel står og renderer.
Der er nyt på alpha channel fronten i DNxHR 444, og så er det spritnye Sony X-OCN pludselig en del af DaVinci Resolve.
Slutteligt er AAC encoding blevet bedre/hurtiger, mens AVCHD .mts clips også får lidt hjælp.

Rippling grades now also copies node labels, Power Window labels and node cache settings
Shift Up + Next Still will now append grade from the current still on the advanced control panel (Studio version)
Added support for left eye and right eye grades for the timeline node graph (Studio version)
Added ability to convert a mono timeline into stereoscopic 3D (Studio version)

En del tyder på at forskellen mellem gratis version og betalings versionen ( den komplette, ikke den der måske stadig findes i app store på Mac, red. ) vokser.
Så meget at folk der vil arbejde med UHD, nok bliver nødt til at investere, med mindre de kan nøjes med at klippe og klistre lidt.
